Chinoiserie - Traditional or Modern?

Don't you think a black chest with a gold mirror always looks fantastic in an entry?  Or anywhere else for that matter.   I think the combination is beautiful.  I came across two chests and two mirrors on 1st Dibs that I'm crazy about.  Even though they create two completely different looks, I'd be thrilled to have either.  If you were to win a 1st Dibs giveaway (wish there were one) which would you choose?
