Thank you so much to everyone who left a comment.  I'll be doing another giveaway in the next couple of months, so please participate again!

I really enjoyed the post today on the Tobi Fairley blog.  It was about doing what makes us happy which is something that we should all spend some time thinking about.  See it here.

Last night, instead of getting a post together, I helped my daughter bake sugar cookies for one of her teachers.  I loved getting to spend the extra time with my daughter.  Also, I was happy to use the below recipe again which makes the yummiest sugar cookies EVER.  It's from a recipe book from the Church I grew up attending.

1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 Tbsp. whole milk
3 cups sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1tsp vanilla extract

Cream butter.  Add sugar gradually.  Add eggs, milk and vanilla.  Cream well.  Add flour with baking powder.  Mix well.  Chill for 10 minutes.

Roll out on floured surface and cut into desired shapes.  Sprinkle with sugar (I add some vanilla sugar to the regular sugar).  Place on greased baking sheet.  Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes.  Let stand on baking sheet for two minutes, then cool on cooling rack.
