Mid Century and Pagoda Chairs
I've developed quite an interest in mid century furniture. I'm not a fan of all of it, but so much of it really appeals to me. The simplicity and clean lines are refreshing. I'd love to add a few pieces here and there to liven up my too traditional house. Last week I visited one of my favorite shops, Antiques Moderne, in the Dallas Design District and spotted some very interesting items. I also learned more about the beautiful restorations they do on site. If you purchase something, they will refinish or lacquer it for you. Here are some examples of their work.

I spotted this credenza (the one on the bottom) and thought about how unbelievable it would be lacquered. Oh my.
This chair is one of a pair that is in perfect condition. Seriously.
The two photos above are of a Henredon console or sofa table from the 70s when Henredon was still manufacturing high quality furniture. Would you lacquer or no? What color?
