Fun Mail Week!
Dazzling Design, Amanda Nisbet's new book arrived in the mail this week. I had pre-ordered it and had completely forgotten about it. Which was fun because it was a surprise. I love design books and have quite a few. I don't purchase all of them; just the ones I know I'll enjoy. However, I can't think of a single interior design book I've ever seen where I love every single room included. And, I don't expect to. Interior design is so personal and subjective. Even the rooms that aren't appealing to me may have something that I love or something that sparks an idea. Amanda Nisbet's book is gorgeous. There's so much I love. I have a few iPhone pics below to share so that you can have an idea of the book.
Loving this. With the abstract, the back of the bookshelves, the zebra ottoman, all the books, and the brass palms what's not to love?
There's nothing I don't love about this. And it looks so much better in the book than my phone photo.
Here's a perfect example of what I was mentioning. This room isn't really very appealing to me. I know it's awesome, but it's just not me. However, I LOVE the light fixture. I think I need one just like it somewhere in my house.
Do you see the book on the sofa? As soon as I opened the box and took out the book, my almost 20 pound giant cat decided it would be a great place for a nap. Looks like Amazon needs to send me bigger boxes.
This beautiful notecard set also came in the mail. You may have seen it before. It's from PVE Design. Her work is amazing and I love her blog, too. You know I love blue and white and blue and pink, so could this get any better?
Here's the notecard out of the package. I'm so happy to have them and will love getting to send them out and share the beauty. See PVE's store here.
