Recommendations and Thank Yous

Can you imagine my surprise when I saw that Naomi Stein had included my cell case and elephant print in her "Chinoiserie Treasures" section of to and from Holiday 2012?  First, I have to say that I love all of her choices which is no surprise.  Her blog, Design Manifest, is one of my very favorites.  I've always been so impressed by her talent, so I was beyond thrilled to have her notice my work.

If you haven't yet perused to and from, you really must.  These incredible bloggers and tastemakers have included items for literally everyone.  Don't miss it.

So, after that bit of excitement, I also have this happiness to share.  The November/December issue of House of Fifty has a feature about using art for gifting, and I was included.  I'm so appreciative to share space with the talented artists included.

House of Fifty is now charging 1.50 for each issue.  You can read about why the change was made here.  I have the new issue, and contemplated the new fee as I read.  I read about the fascinating process in which Michael Devine screen prints his fabric.  I saw some fantastic gift guides, and have a new recipe I'm looking forward to trying.  I enjoyed seeing and reading about several different homes decked out for the holiday.  I learned all about a new to me and very talented artist.  I could go on and on about what I enjoyed in this issue.  The conclusion I drew is that I always love every issue of House of Fifty, and I pay for published magazines constantly, so of course I am happy to get to keep reading and enjoying one of my very favorites for such a reasonable amount.  Have you read the Holiday Issue?  You should!
