I Won and Other Fun

Before I get to why you should be jealous of me and my exciting win, I'm going to tell you about my new art.  You already know how much I adore Kerry Steele's work.  I have a huge painting of hers over my family room mantle, so I'm a repeat customer.  I have one wall in that room that I'm working on.  I commissioned Kerry to do two paintings for me and the above is a photo she sent of one of them. I'm pretty much over the moon about it and cannot wait to receive both of them, frame and hang them, then share with you.

Here's why you should be envious.  I won one of the most amazing giveaways I've ever run across on a blog.  Debra, from 5th and State, (whom I adore) hosted a giveaway for The Scottish Country House.  I love history, art, architecture, design, learning, and have ancestors from the British Isles.   Obviously, I was thrilled to win this absolutely beautiful book.  Thank you so much, Debra!  Below, I have some iPhone shots  from some of the pages for you to see.

Here's an entry I had to share with you though you've most likely seen it already.  It's Paige's house from Seeker's Bazaar.  I've been a longtime fan of her blog, and love her style.  Between the time that I saw this and asked her if I could feature it, Beth, from Chinoiserie Chic posted it.  Which is no surprise at all.  Beth and I like a lot of the same things.  So, Paige was awesome and restyled it a bit so that I could show something a little different.  Thank you, Paige -- your house is to die for!

Here are some items I've just had come in for my store.  Hopefully I'll have time over the weekend to get the listings set up and they'll be ready to go for Monday.
