I Want a Do-Over

We have a Colonial Revival house that would never work with the style of these rooms.  And I'm happy with that.  I love my house and wouldn't change what I've done.  It's just right for me now.  But, when I see these images on Pinterest, I want a do-over on one of the apartments I lived in or our first house.  If I knew then what I know now, I'd do something similar to these fun, eclectic rooms by Emily Henderson.  The mid-century, casual, colorful vibe is something I would have loved.

That I'm redecorating old apartments in my head is probably pretty strange.  What about you?  Have you ever wanted a design do-over on somewhere you don't live anymore?  What would be your direction?
