Rebecca de Ravenel + Laura Laurent Salon

Awhile back, some of these images were everywhere, and for very good reason.  The New York apartment of Rebecca de Ravenel featured in Vogue, is incredible.  Unless you clicked over to the article though, you may have missed some amazing photos.  I'm sharing some of those here.

The images above and below were all over the blogosphere, and you've most likely seen them.

These are images that were not as visible, and I just had to share.  I love everything about this gorgeous, interesting, collected space.

This vignette is fantastic.  That console table.  Wow.  And, I love the stools flanking the huge green bottle.  The adorable print on the stools is from Sister Parish Design.

I rarely see a Saarinen table combined with juxtaposed chairs that I don't like.

These blues are so very fresh and vibrant.  What a respite from the city Rebecca has created here.

Everything about this bedroom is lovely.  My favorite additions are the quirky little dog photos.

And here's Rebecca outside in her lovely garden.  If you somehow missed this feature, it so very much worth clicking over to see and read it all.  What about you?  Do you like this island style?

I'm still so happy with this watercolor that Laura, of Laura Laurent Salon, painted for me.  Using photoshop, I pieced together a vignette that I hoped would represent my style, and be pretty in watercolors.  One of the influences was, of course, this entry by Jonathan Berger.  I was thrilled with Laura's execution.  So, when I decided to have an illustration of our house created, I knew exactly where to go.

I sent Laura a photo of the house, and this is what arrived in the mail two weeks later.  We couldn't be more thrilled.  What a perfect representation, but enhanced as right now here in Dallas, no one's grass is this green.  By the way, I put the photo through Waterlogue to compare, and the real thing is VASTLY better. While the app is a fun, easy, and inexpensive way to create your own art, you can't beat using an actual artist. Visit Laura's Etsy store here.
