Tropical Carleton Varney Style

I just got back from a quick trip to Florida where banana leaves and palm trees are everywhere.  I just love the tropical landscape. These images I'm sharing today are both from Carleton Varney's book, Houses In My Heart.  In this house, he used a muralist to create these breathtaking backgrounds. How I wish he'd design the above for wallpaper!   Isn't it beautiful?
