The April Blue and White Bash

Welcome to The Bash!

I just added this blue and white vase to my collection, and to my shop.  Isn't the pink hyacinth gorgeous in it?  And, it smells heavenly.  The hyacinth, not the vase.  I love the Kerry Steele painting as the background.  I can't decide whether to continue to use this vase for flowers, or put it on my desk and use it to hold pens and pencils.  Maybe I should get one more and not have to choose : )

Please save the date for May -- I'd love for you to join in!

Now, lets see the loveliness my guests have to share!

The March Blue and White Bash

via Veranda

Welcome to the March Blue and White Bash!  Isn't this photo fantastic? It's cold AGAIN here in Dallas, and this tropical image looks very appealing.

Below I have some beautiful blue and white finds.  Can you tell I'm still obsessed with Polyvore?

Kerry's just sent me new watercolors to list in TPP.  At least she thinks I'm going to list them.  Hehehe. She's started a new series that I'm loving.  Could this possibly be any prettier?

Here's my Instagram photo that was featured on House Beautiful and Harper's Bazaar.  I've had lots of emails about this planter.  It's been out of stock, and there are now 10 available.  See it here.

And, now on to The Bash.  Enjoy!

The Blue and White Bash + BOHO Prep Board

New Kerry Steele watercolors March 10th and some available now here

This Monday is the next Blue and White Bash. The Bash is a monthly linking party for any blogger who'd like to link a post including blue and white anything.  Here's more information, and here's where you can see the most recent Bash.  Please either link up, or come enjoy all of the gorgeousness!

I made this board on Polyvore before I knew better than use "template" instead of "set."  I'm learning and also having lots of fun.  I was building a board around this Susan Skelley painting, but it sold before I could share the board with you.  I like my board and decided to share it anyway : )

I do still have this Susan Skelley painting available which you can see more about here.

Happy Weekend!

The February Blue and White Bash

New Kerry Steele Watercolors March 10th  and some available now here

Welcome to the February Blue and White Bash!  The Bash is a monthly linking party for any blogger who'd like to link a post on blue and white anything.  Here's more information.  As you can see from the links below, there's lots of amazing participation. The next one is March 3rd.  Please either link up, or come enjoy all of the gorgeousness!

The Blue and White Bash + The Lowdown on Link Ups

If you've never seen one of my Blue and White Bashes, you can do so here, here and here.  They're linking parties where bloggers link up their beautiful blue and white posts here at TPP for everyone to enjoy all the gorgeousness. I'm having the next one February 3rd, and I would absolutely love for you to join me. If you're a reader, just bring a cup of coffee that day and plan to stay awhile. If you're a blogger, please link up.

You can share a post on blue and white interiors.

Howard Slakin

Or, blue and white accessories.

You can feature blue and white on the table,

Apparel,

Jewelry,

Even the beach!

Another thing to consider is that you can create a new post for The Bash, or use an existing post.  Either is welcome.

Now, for some info on the ins and outs of linking up.  When I've hosted a Blue and White Bash, I've received emails from people worried about the process of linking up.  They've anticipated that it will be complicated.  The reality is that if you've ever created and published a blog post, linking up to another blog will be a breeze. All you have to do to link your post to a linking party is copy your post's URL (the actual web address of your post) before going to the blog where you'll be a guest.  There'll be a gadget/widget you can't miss, and you click on that.  The directions are very simple, and it just takes a few seconds.  Give it a try!  If I can do it, anyone can.

So, now that we've covered the technical aspects, I'll share a bit of information on the etiquette of being a link up guest.  Linking parties are lots of fun, but they're also beneficial.  They're a great source of traffic for your blog.  The traffic is not coming just from the host.  It's cyclical.  The participants are supposed to mention the linking party and link to it at the top of the first page of their blogs. If that happens, every blogger participating is helping to drive the traffic of the party. Basically, to not follow this guideline is unsportsmanlike behavior in which you would never participate : )

To see examples of how to do this go here, here, or here.

There may be other information regarding link ups that I'm omitting as I'm fairly new to this.  I may add more at a later time, but if you have any tips or guidelines that we should know, please share.

I hope I'll see you at The Blue and White Bash!
