ORC Guest Bath Renovation Part 2 Week 3
To get you up to speed, I participated in the Spring One Room Challenge™ using a contractor who was highly recommended by a very credible source, but turned out to be stunningly disappointing. See his work in my last post in the second video. Because of this problem, I wasn’t able to complete the Challenge. I’m finishing it now, with the help of a contractor I really like (thank goodness)! I decided it would be fun to play along with the Guest Participants in the ORC Linking Event to share the finished space. To see the project from the beginning, go here.
So, if my options were unlimited, I’d love this glassed in space shown at Veranda and photographed by Lisa Romerein, at the top (assuming there’d be total privacy.) It would be so lovely and refreshing to see all the beautiful green plants. However, this very unique situation isn’t in the cards. A light, very clean space with lots of beautiful marble would also make us quite happy. Love this space below designed by EJ Interiors that has some similarities to the space my daughter and I have designed for this project.
Beautiful marble is in abundant supply in this ORC bathroom project. and we’re in awe. This specific marble. Bianco Puro, from The Tile Shop, is seriously the prettiest marble I’ve ever seen. It’s super white, the veining is very subtle, and it’s honed instead of polished. Here’s a wall from the space. This pattern is crosshatch, and the floor (which I’ll show in the next post) is straight herringbone. I can’t decide which I like better. See more about my trip to The Tile Shop here.
This is the wallpaper designed by me for this project and printed by Milton and King. Their paper is such excellent quality. I’ve worked with them once before, and both times I’ve been quite impressed by their wallpaper’s quality.
Below are lots of the incredible elements that will be installed very soon.
vanity: Overstock
lighting: Hudson Valley Lighting
wallpaper: This pattern coming soon from Milton & King.
wall art: my talented daughter : )
towel bar and door knob: Emtek
drawer pulls: Schaub and Company
mirror: Mirror Image Home
outlet: Legrand Adorne
Gorgeous right? I can’t wait to share all of this.
I mentioned earlier that the tile in the room is from The Tile Shop. A few days ago I received from them a large beautiful design book and wanted to share some of the photos with you. Enjoy!
