All About Stripes

NG Collective via Domino

Who doesn't love a good stripe? Stripes work everywhere, and depending on the width and color, can add anything from drama to playfulness to a room.  If your space needs grounding, they're the perfect solution.

I redesigned my daughter's "hangout" room (above) for a

One Room Challenge

, and used a navy and white striped rug.

Rugs are one of my favorite ways to add stripes to a space.  These examples, plus the one I used in my daughter's space, are all

Dash & Albert.

The table is also a fantastic spot to place a stripe.

How I adore seersucker.  Aren't

these dinner napkins

fun?  The colors are great, and I'd also love a set in pink : )

Could this be more perfect?  All of the pretty blue and white on the wall of ivy is just wonderful. Blue and white with nature's green is always refreshing.  This is the pool terrace of interior designer

Victoria Hagan

's family home in Connecticut.
