I'm incredibly excited to be participating in my all-time favorite interior design event, The One Room Challenge™. My daughter and I have a new (to us) house that we're looking forward to someday moving into if I can just force myself to power through the abyss of darkness, otherwise known as remodeling, that this very outdated ranch house requires. For me, it's super fun to redesign a room, but oh my goodness, the renovation part is pretty much the worst. I definitely have some stories to tell -- and I will!

It's that time of year, and if you have a freshman heading off for college, you may be scrambling.  I was last year, and this year I still have things to do before we're ready for move-in day.  But, this year, the difference is that my daughter will be a sophomore and knows exactly what she needs.

I just love classic American interior design -- brightened just a bit.  And, what could be better than a Chippendale mirror surrounded by blue and white?

This month's House Beautiful issue features a gorgeously designed waterfront home in South Carolina's Low Country designed by Suzanne Kasler and photographed by Francesco Lagnese. Suzanne's use of red, white, and blue throughout this amazing house makes this project perfect for the July/August issue.

I've loved Chinese blue and white jars, vases, and planters for as long as I can remember noticing interior design. When I first started collecting for my own home, I began there. My favorite pieces are ones in which I can enjoy with flowers or a pretty plant.

I'm so happy to be able to share my project today!  After having a contractor disappear mid-job, I didn't know if this would happen.  It's been quite an adventure.
