I'll share more about the ups and downs of home renovation under time constraints in the next couple of weeks.  Wish me luck that there won't be sanding and painting just steps away from fluffing pillows and accessorizing hours before the photographer arrives!

Thank you for checking in on my ORC. It's quite a large scale project upon which I very ambitiously embarked -- oh my goodness. I'm opening up our kitchen/family and breakfast room and creating one open space as part of an entire ranch house renovation. To catch up, go here for Week One, and here for Week Two.

The One Room Challenge™ is my all time favorite interior design event, and I'm so happy to get to be here sharing my progress at Week Two.  A huge thank you to Lindafor including me in this incredible group! If you missed Week One, catch up here.  I'm tearing down a wall in my kitchen to create an open kitchen/family/breakfast space.  

I'm incredibly excited to be participating in my all-time favorite interior design event, The One Room Challenge™. My daughter and I have a new (to us) house that we're looking forward to someday moving into if I can just force myself to power through the abyss of darkness, otherwise known as remodeling, that this very outdated ranch house requires. For me, it's super fun to redesign a room, but oh my goodness, the renovation part is pretty much the worst. I definitely have some stories to tell -- and I will!

It's that time of year, and if you have a freshman heading off for college, you may be scrambling.  I was last year, and this year I still have things to do before we're ready for move-in day.  But, this year, the difference is that my daughter will be a sophomore and knows exactly what she needs.

I just love classic American interior design -- brightened just a bit.  And, what could be better than a Chippendale mirror surrounded by blue and white?
